| I spent all day in the hospital yesterday with my son. Turned out he had an appendicitis and had to have surgery. Today, I'm exhausted but he's much better! |

Oh, how horrible! Luckily this century & the last have seen pretty good results for a condition that used to be considered fatal. Hope he's on the mend and you're getting some sleep!

Thanks. He's doing very well already. It was done laparoscopically so instead of having one large cut, he has three small holes. That means less chance of post-surgical infection, which is good.
As for sleep - hopefully I'll get more tonight. Last night I woke up at 3am and after tossing a while, I realized the reason why I was having trouble falling back asleep was partially because I had a hard time turning my head off, and partially because I was hungry (I didn't have much time to eat yesterday, but I also didn't have much of an appetite)! |

My sister just had an appendectomy several weeks ago!  I know, first hand, how disturbing that is, so I'm very glad to hear your son is doing better, for your sake as well as his.  |
