We've all got the bleedin' beetle - almost as easy as the large round orange thing with clock hands!

Chick with kids is eluding me though...

Well I'm still stuck on 29 after over half an hour at it - haven't got the beetle, the chick with kids or the guys on the stairs. And I had to cheat using imdb for the guy with a pumpkin for a head - I'd never even heard of the film

My film knowledge must be weak!

I did a similar one of these about 6 months ago (have lost the link now) with pop bands hidden. Will see if i can find it, it was just as much fun, but I was better at it

I'm lousy at these things. But I seem to recall another one just like this but on a general movie subject (insead of dark ones) that I got most of on the first try.

When I figured it out, I thought it was stupid. All I can hint without giving it away is that Brits should get it faster than anyone else.

3 hours, 55 min = 49/50 films

I'm DETERMINED to get the elusive five:
1. Lady with kids Thanks MguyX for the teeny clue; title came to me just as I woke up this morning!
2. Dark entryway Thanks again MguyX
3. HotelThanks yet again MguyX
4. House that's not a house oops, that's NOT one at all!
5. Guys on the stairs

Hey - but wait! What's this
There's also the Grim Reaper ... so does that mean there are actually 51 film?

Hotel?

Hotel that's not a house?

I don't think you're looking at the right clues.

Lady with kids and guys on stairs are truly challenging (except the lady one will make you feel silly when you get it).

(Shame on you for not getting the dark entry way. For Chissake: what do you see?????!!!!!)

OK, I got 45 then gave up and Googled the rest. Here are the ones I didn't get:- (no spoilers by the way, just comments on why I didnt get them)

1) The man with the stick of dynamite for a head in the bottom right. That's a stick of dynamite, right? Even now that I know what it is, I still struggle to see how it could be what it's supposed to be. If I had identified the picture I would have got that one in a second.

2) The three dancing on the liquid at the bottom. Never heard of the movie, so I doubt I would have ever got it.

3) Green M&M on the stairs. This doesn't look like what it's supposed to look like on my screen. That's my excuse, anyway, I'm certainly familiar with the movie.

4) The person in a straitjacket at the bottom. Although I know the movie, whichever way I look at it this one is simply wrong.

5) The two people on the stairs. I know the movie, but am sure I would never have got it, it's a good one though.

I got 48 and then went to Google. The last two were beyond, but I'm glad to see you got both of them.

1) The man with the stick of dynamite for a head in the bottom right. That's a stick of dynamite, right? Even now that I know what it is, I still struggle to see how it could be what it's supposed to be. If I had identified the picture I would have got that one in a second.

That one was a cult favorite of mine in college. I've probably seen that film 20 times. I got it immediately.

2) The three dancing on the liquid at the bottom. Never heard of the movie, so I doubt I would have ever got it.

I was desperate on that one. I searched for movie titles for a reminder. I saw the title, then I made the guess. Got it, with help.

3) Green M&M on the stairs. This doesn't look like what it's supposed to look like on my screen. That's my excuse, anyway, I'm certainly familiar with the movie.

That one was a little wierd, I thought too. My screen resolution was pretty good, so it gave me a lead and, on a guess based on what I could see, I got it.

4) The person in a straitjacket at the bottom. Although I know the movie, whichever way I look at it this one is simply wrong.

I plugged that one in several other spots because i was sure it had to be there. Finally, I looked and figured that had to be it. Lo! It was.

5) The two people on the stairs. I know the movie, but am sure I would never have got it, it's a good one though.

That one was the probably the hardest (except for the two I didn't know at all). I looked and looked until I finally gave it a little bit more analysis, guessed the title-- once again, lucked out.

I hope they do another one.

Yep I tried it in other places as well for the same reason. But it never occurred to me that it would be used for that one. Generally I thought the movies fitted the picture pretty well (even the tough ones), but not that one. Not at all.

I'd say they deliberately made that page with some easy ones, some moderately cryptic ones, some 'actually very easy but throw you off the scent by adding more detail' ones, and some very obscure ones to give everyone a leg up, but make it extremely hard to get all 50. Excellent work overall.

BTW it took me 4 hours to get my 45. And it would have taken 1000 hours to get 50.

49/50
Nearly 4 hours and just those damn guys on the stairs to get!

Mampers - you've got a LOT to answer for!

PS - what's the odds they'll do a re-take with Rom-Coms?

BB, you should set yourself a time-limit on the guys on the stairs. Sure, it's possible you might get it next time you think about it, but seriously, you could still be working on it weeks from now. It's definitely the hardest one of all.

Having said that, I gave up on the last 5. And JTC gave up on the last 33 by the sound of it.

I got that one quite quickly, but purely by chance. But I actually thought of the movie first, and then wondered if there were any clues that fit it. I spotted the guys on the stairs and it worked. I agree though that it's very difficult to get directly from the clue itself. The one that took me the longest was the M&M in the centre walking down the stairs. (It took me about 3 hours to get 49 and an extra hour to get that last one.)
