On my golden birthday, which was also my 26th, I had to hand in my master's thesis at noon. I had only started it three days before and had had no sleep whatsoever during the entire time. It was on the syntactic structure of cryptic crossword clues. Happy times! Rather horrifyingly, the basement computer room where I wrote that was precisely where I discovered F.W.F.R. It wasn't 1999 but it wasn't long after.

At XXVI you're probably thinking about having kids now, eh FWFR? DON'T DO IT YET! Wait: there's plenty of stuff to do before you tie yourself down with a spouse and kids.
Do drugs. Drink booze. Travel. Get laid. A lot. Go skydiving. In a couple of years, you won't have those opportunities anymore (or at least they won't be without a whole bunch of repercussions). You'll thank me later. 
Happy Golden B-day FWFR! I sure as fuck don't remember mine, so I must have been having a great time. Wait: I was in law school and sober. But I was gettin laid like jackrabbit with a jet pack, so, yeah, I was having a great time. 
BTW: Next year is my Beddian birthday year (1963); sorry FWFR, you'll have to wait until 2098 for that one.
