Posted - 09/23/2011 : 05:27:45 So, my husband got a gig singing in a choir for a synagogue in Melbourne for the Jewish High Holidays, and instead of paying him a salary, they're paying for ME to join him and they're paying not only for my flights, but also my accommodation AND many of our meals. Its a great deal and a once in a lifetime opportunity.
So, on Sunday night I'll be boarding a plane headed for Hong Kong, where I'll be stuck for several hours before I get back on the plan bound for Melbourne, Australia. Except for a brief respite of two nights in Sidney (taking full advantage of this opportunity to see the world-famous Sidney Opera House - we have tickets to see "Don Giovanni") we'll be there until October 9.
Those from that side of the world, or experince visiting same, are hereby invited to give me any suggestions of what to do and see. Mind you, we don't have huge amounts of free time since my husband's choir has rehearsals and will need to be at prayer services. But any suggestions are welcome.
(Our old digital camera was lost by my daughter, but we got a new one with a x30 zoom optical lens so photo ops are high on our priority list!)
(PS: I will have my laptop with me so... ) |
