I reached my goal weight! I now weigh 60kilo. I'm thrilled!

(That's 132 pounds or 9 stone, 6.3 pounds for those metrically challenged!)

By coincidence, Chocky and I started our diets at the beginning of August last year, so we're one year on today...

I can report a reduction of 83lbs (38Kg) and I am officially no longer overweight (BMI 24.3).

So how's Chocky doing?

Congratulations, dieters.

I am also working on taking up less room on the planet. So far, I've lost 5 pounds, so the work is beginning well. 25 more to go.

Oh, and to top it all off, I just became a Great Aunt! My neice gave birth to a little girl on Monday, making my father-in-law a Great Grandfather for the first time.

From your post to God's (or some famous publisher's) ears!

How about some weight loss tips?

The best thing I can say is, start a regime (with your doctor's okay) of eating right (a dietician can help, but try to stay away from artificial sweeteners - they're poision, I tell ya) and regular exercise and then STICK TO IT*!

As for the exercise, you should combine both low impact (Pilates, Yoga, Calanetics) and cardio/calorie burning. The former helps tone muscle, with the latter helps general health and fat reduction.

(* Someday, I hope to find myself actually enjoying doing all the exercise, but so far, the only thing I enjoy is the results!)

Congrats, nice work.
How long did it take and can I ask how much you lost?

I started at the beginning of last August.

I lost 13.4 kilos (29.5 pounds), but I also lost centemeters due to the exercise I've been doing - I lost 16cm (6.3") around my ribs, 17cm (6.7") around my waist and 15cm (5.9") around my hips.
