Backdoor.Bifrose is a particularly nasty invasive Trojan.

I've just spent four days in a process to get rid of it. The link leads to a Microsoft warning ... it was rampant a few years ago and is now spreading with a vengeance. One of the fixes I had to undergo was an 8-hour deep system scan.

If anyone is plagued - notice your programs aren't running properly, etc - this thing can and will invade your registry and rename system files. It will even tweak your anti-virus software.

I can highly recommend a tekkie forum called The Elder Geek which is free and staffed by true experts.

Microsoft has recently released some new definitions to address this thing, so if you're running Windows, don't forget to update!!
