NB: In "Elle" a woman raped in a home invasion hunts and becomes obsessed with her attacker. "Frank" is a fictionalised version of UK musician Frank Sidebottom, who compulsively wears a papier mache head, and goes to perilous lengths to record his music. At one point he is abandoned by his band mates. In the Romanian revenge drama "Katalin Varga" the title character searches for the men who abused her years before. "Marnie" is a career thief who is psychologically affected by the colour red. In "Una" a woman tracks down the neighbour who abducted her as a young girl.
