I don't know how well known it is that smashing means great in British English, although it actually began in the United States anyway.

A cowboy on the run after breaking out of jail is finally caught because of his nervous horse, Whiskey in "Lonely are the Brave".
Bounty hunter Ben Brigade tracks down Frank Rich in "Ride Lonesome".
Although set in the American west "The Salvation" is directed by and stars Danish actors.
Richard Widmark plays Dude, the antagonist in "Yellow Sky".
